RMS install log in the Windows Installer is corrupt. You will need to remove RMS using Control Panel then reinstall RMS using the base installer (2.0 CD installer files not MSI download installer) followed by any required hotfixes and service packs to match the version of RMS currently running.
If Store Operations Administrator loads without error, you can view the version by selecting Help, About in top menu. Then close Administrator, POS and Manager is partially started before performing the uninstall/reinstall steps. If necessary, run Task Manager and select end process for any RMS apps listed by their normal name or SOPOS or SOManager.
