Potential Cause
It may be related to the setup of your COM Port.
Resolution
To correct this issue, try making these changes:
1. Open the Control Panel | System | Hardware | Device Manager | Ports (COM & LPT) and double-click on the COM port that your Barcode Blaster is using.
2. Click on the Port Settings tab.
3. Click on the drop-down box next to Flow Control and choose Hardware.
4. Click on the Advanced button and uncheck the "Use FIFO Buffers ..." line and click OK.
5. Click OK again to save the changes in the Communications Port Properties window.
6. Close all windows and restart your computer.
