IMPORTANT: Do not install this release without HotFix #35 (or higher).

Anything less than 2.0.100x can be upgraded if you have the proper installation files.
IMPORTANT: Microsoft Dynamics RMS 2.0 Feature Pack 2 (FP2) is cumulative and contains all hotfixes that were released after Service Pack 4 (SP4). If you have not already upgraded to Feature Pack 1 with SP4, please follow those separate instructions FIRST.
You can request the required files by filing a support request with DRS Help Desk.
Preparation:
- Z out all registers
- Make sure no registers are running in offline mode and any blind closeouts on file are also Zed out
- Settle EDC Batch (if using integrated card processing)
- Post any closed batches if using accounting interface
- Backup RMS db -- both Store Operations and HQ if multi-store
- Backup Labels, Reports, Crystal Reports, Receipt Templates folders for Store Operations Manager and HQ Manager.
Notes: The database will be modified during the upgrade and cannot be reverted. After upgrading, you must re-create all offline databases (if exist). If upgrading to FP1 at same time, you must reconfigure receipt formats in Store Operations Manager by reselecting their templates and updating the X/Z report then Z out each POS lane again.
Installation:
- Install FP2
- Install Latest Hotfix
- Run Administrator, File, Connect, enter SQL password, followed by Database, Upgrade.
- If you use TenderView in POS, run Manager, Database, Registers, Custom POS Buttons, and change Properties for TenderView to Internal HTML Window.
- Restore any customized labels/reports/templates backed up in Preparation Step 4.
