How can I setup my new system to be used immediately as a cash register?

Add dummy codes to your item database set to type non-inventory, price = $0.00, and Option set to "Prompt for price in POS".

This method can also be used to sell and track any miscellaneous items that do not exist in your database.

Example:
ILC = ACC
Description = Accessory
Type = Non-inventory
Price = $0.00
Option = Must enter price at POS

Create as many dummy codes as you want to track sales in, such as an item for each of your main depts.

When the item is sold you will be prompted to enter a price. You can also cursor to the Description and change it during the sale.
