What's the best way to process a return that includes an exchange?

1. Scan new item(s) to be purchased.
2. Press Crtl-F4 (Return)
3. Scan old item(s) that are being returned.
4. Tender Sale

Alternately you can do this in reverse order, but it is an extra step.
